Mint Points
Mint Points (MP) reward what you do on Ultramint. Every Mint Point comes from the house take on a Buy, the part of it the market keeps. So MP grow with real trading, whoever wins.
The current rates are on the Mint Points page.
What earns Mint Points
| Action | You earn MP on |
|---|---|
| Buy | Your own Buys |
| Mint | Other people's Buys in markets you mint |
| Promote | Buys that come in through your Market Promoter link |
| Seed | Markets whose opening seed you fund |
| Refer | A share of the MP the friends you invite earn in their first days, up to a cap per friend |
| Quests | One-time actions such as your first Buy, your first Mint and your first Buy in a Town market |
Buys in Town markets earn MP too, Members only included.
Your invite link is on your portfolio.
What doesn't earn
- Both sides of one market. If you hold Yes and No in the same market, the part that cancels out earns nothing.
- Linked accounts. No MP in any role on markets minted by you or an account linked to yours.
- Your own Buys in your own market or through your own link.
- Voided markets. Pending MP from a voided market are cancelled.
Pending and settled
MP show as pending as soon as your Buy lands. When the market resolves and its house take is swept, they become settled at the same amount, whether your Buy won or lost.
Levels
Once a day, your MP from recent weeks are compared with everyone else's. That sets your level:
Spark → Minter → Sharp → Whale → Legend
A higher level multiplies the MP you earn next. Your level follows recent activity, so it can go down as well as up.
Boosts
Ultramint sometimes runs boosts, such as on featured markets. A boost multiplies the MP you earn for a short time. Live boosts are listed on the Mint Points page. Levels and boosts together are capped.
Seasons and lifetime
MP count toward the Season you earn them in, and toward your lifetime total. Lifetime MP never reset.
Mint Points are separate from Season objectives and UMINT credits. They follow their own rules and their own board.
What Mint Points are
Mint Points have no cash value. You can't transfer or spend them. See the Rewards Terms.
