What a Market Promoter is
A Market Promoter brings buyers to a market and earns a share of what that market makes. You don't mint anything, you don't put up any money, and you don't need anyone's approval.
Who can promote
Anyone signed in and eligible can promote any public market. That includes markets you didn't mint and markets in Towns you're not in, as long as they're public.
The creator doesn't pick promoters and can't turn them away. Ultramint doesn't assign them either.
How it works
- Pick a public market your audience would want to trade.
- Copy your promoter link from the market page.
- Share it.
- Every Buy that comes in through your link is credited to you.
- When the market resolves, you're paid from its creator pool in proportion to the volume you brought.
What it costs buyers
Nothing extra. A Buy through your link has the same price and the same settlement fee as any other Buy. The money you earn comes out of the creator's share.
Why creators like promoters
Promoters bring volume, and volume grows the whole creator pool. So a market with active promoters can earn its creator more, even after promoters are paid.
Markets you can't earn from
- Members only markets, because only Town members can see them.
- Up/Down rounds and Combos, because they have no creator pool.
- Voided markets, because they keep nothing to share.
